  3. Charles & Cullen: Thanks for writing. Bahadur (The Brave), created by Indian artist Aabid Surti in 1976, is a vigilante who heads a security force that protects villagers and others from marauding dacoits from the infamous Chambal Valley of central India. He also enlists the help of reformed dacoits to head his civilian force.

Bahadur's own father was a notorious dacoit but he grows up to be a law enforcer under the guardianship of the kindly local police chief. The Red Brick House in the backdrop is Bahadur's family estate.

Bahadur has long ceased publication and there has never been a reprint. But his comics are in great demand and have vintage value today. Bahadur was published by Bennett Coleman & Co. Ltd, the publishers of The Times of India. It also used to published Phantom, Mandrake, Flash Gordon, Rip Kirby, Garth, Buz Sawyer, Kerry Drake...all under the Indrajal Comics brand.
