I agree, it wasn't a commercial success but it's one of those low-budget films that movie channels find convenient to screen every now and then. Great film, though.Prashant C. I seem to like them all! I enjoyed watching THE BEAST partly on account of my interest in the social, political and economic affairs of Afghanistan — from the time the Soviets invaded the country till Najibullah, the last Soviet-backed president, was lynched by the Taliban in public. I don't recall seeing George Dzundza in a film or on TV before.Prashant C. It gives you an idea how the Soviet military juggernaut swept through the country when they invaded it in 1979.Prashant C. I was fooled by the mention of his name on a couple of sites including IMDb whose content, I guess, isn't all that fool-proof. Though I have retained the title in the body text, I have struck it out. I remember watching FANDANGO but that was a very long time ago. It's one of Reynolds' films I want to see again.Prashant C. Well, he's overweight, but after seeing him as a good-hearted priest in the first season of HACK, it would be a bit of a stretch. Thanks. By the way, pretty sue Kevin Reynolds didn't direct either version of RED DAWN though he did work on the screenplay. He made his directorial debut with one of my favourite coming-of-age movies, FANDANGO, starring a young Kevin Costner.Sergio (Tipping My Fedora)http://bloodymurder.wordpress.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1169151311037688512.post-43139338097924930282012-07-17T06:36:22.474-07:002012-07-17T06:36:22.474-07:00This one completely passed me by, not an easy feat...This one completely passed me by, not an easy feat.pattinase (abbott)https://www.blogger.com/profile/02916037185235335846noreply@blogger.com
