I'm trying to relive, and remember, the films I saw in the seventies and eighties.Prashant C. I don't think claustrophobia is an issue as much as the clash of four different personalities trapped in a small place. I think I might have seen Alfred Molina in Poirot's role.Prashant C. It had Roddy McDowall and Myrna Loy in the cast but I can't remember anyone else. OH! James Farentino was in it, too. He played the armed robber trying to make his escape in the elevator after pulling off a heist, but who gets trapped with everyone in the elevator when the power fails in the building.J F Norrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06473487417479127354noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1169151311037688512.post-60157031589649985422014-05-27T10:16:56.222-07:002014-05-27T10:16:56.222-07:00This sounds very interesting, Prashant. My husband has (moderate) problems with claustrophobia so don't know how he would like a movie about being stuck in an elevator but otherwise sounds just like his kind of thing. And it is also very interesting about the other movies the director made.TracyKhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08303342674824383688noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1169151311037688512.post-2429317542543544382014-05-27T09:51:50.051-07:002014-05-27T09:51:50.051-07:00Reminds me of Sartre's NO EXIT, as well as a 1...Reminds me of Sartre's NO EXIT, as well as a 1958 French film, ELEVATOR TO THE GALLOWS (Ascenseur pour l'échafaud), in which a man who has murdered his lover's husband is similarly trapped alone on an elevator. Director Louis Malle, with the young Jeanne Moreau, and jazz soundtrack by Miles Davis.
